The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) won two awards at the 31st World Travel Awards including the award for 'Middle East's Leading Wedding Destination 2024'.

The World Travel Awards were hosted on Monday, May 6 in Dubai, UAE, alongside the Arabian Travel Market (ATM).
Bahrain received this award because it has become a popular destination for large-scale weddings and lavish bridal occasions in the last few years.
Other than this award, the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) won the award for 'Middle East's Leading Large-Scale Wedding Venue 2024'.
The venue won the award over the Dubai World Trade Centre, Saudi Arabia's Nayyara Banqueting & Conference Centre, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, and Qatar National Convention Centre.
CEO of BTEA Sara Ahmed Buhiji received both awards at the ceremony, which emphasised that Bahrain is the best wedding destination in the Middle East.
