Rang De Basanti (2006)

Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005)

The revolt of 1857, led by Ketan Mehta, is represented appropriately in this historical biographical drama, reminding us of the price we pay for freedom and the high stakes the fighters battled for. Aamir Khan played the part of Mangal Pandey on the big screen.

Chittagong (2012)

Based on a true story, the film examines the life events of a 14-year-old kid named Jhunku against the backdrop of East Bengal's chaotic 1930s, and his search to discover where he actually belongs. It won a National Film Award for director Debabrata Pain.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero (2004)

The film is written and directed by Shyam Benegal, who sheds light on the life of the freedom fighter who battled for India's independence from behind the scenes, by establishing diplomatic connections with Japan and Germany and organizing an army to fight the British. Sachin Khedekar performed the role of Netaji.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002)

The Rajkumar Santoshi-directed film portrays the story of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivram Hari Rajguru's sacrifice to reclaim India's freedom from British tyranny. A.R. Rahman's music is captivating. The lead actors are Ajay Devgan, Sushant Singh, and D. Santosh.

Border (1997)

J.P. Dutta's immortal masterpiece is based on the 1971 Battle of Longewala. The film has won several accolades in various categories and is notable for its classic speeches and situations that are still referenced today. Sunny Deol, Puneet Issar, Suniel Shetty, Sudesh Berry, and Jackie Shroff are among the ensemble cast members.

Sardar Udham (2021)

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre is central to Shoojit Sircar's highly acclaimed and well-received biographical play on Sardar Udham Singh's life. Vicky Kaushal plays the title character.

LOC: Kargil (2003)

Another patriotic film by J.P. Dutta recounts the Indian Army's triumph in the 1999 Kargil War. Among others, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna in prominent parts.

Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019)

Aditya Dhar's portrayal of the 2016 response to the Uri attack was widely publicized. Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari, and Paresh Rawal play the lead roles.

Sardar (1994)

On the 70th anniversary of India's independence, the Indian Directorate of Film Festivals and the Ministry of Defence co-screened this Ketan Mehta biopic in honor of the Iron Man of India. Paresh Rawal plays the lead character.
