The move encourages a culture of reading among pupils and supports both the publishing industry and the education sector.

"Ministry of Education will collaborate with Department of Culture and Tourism to ensure the selected titles meet the needs of students at various stages of learning, and that school libraries receive the latest and most relevant literary, scientific, cultural and educational materials." tweeted Abu Dhabi Media Office.

The 30th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which includes in-person and virtual sessions, will continue until May 29 at ADNEC Group.
