In the past, you could count on a spare tire under a car's seat for a long time. But today, there are many new vehicles that don't have one in the first place. Rather, auto manufacturers tend to offer tire repair kits, run-flat tires, or roadside assistance. Manufacturers claim the modification enhances fuel efficiency, decreases weight and increases storage room, though a few drivers are surprised by the change. However, it doesn't please everyone when a feature that was once crucial for emergencies on the road is cut.
