Bahrain Cuts Processing Time for the Worker Supply License

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has unveiled a streamlined digital service for issuing worker supply agency licenses, marking a significant step forward in Bahrain's government digital transformation agenda. The upgrade is designed to accelerate the licensing process for agencies that supply workers to third parties for specific tasks or limited durations.

Under the new system, the previously lengthy bureaucratic procedure has been condensed into just two distinct stages: initial approval and final license issuance. According to the LMRA, this overhaul has successfully reduced the total processing time from 20 working days to 15 days. Furthermore, the number of application steps has been simplified to a maximum of four, significantly lowering the administrative burden on businesses.

Boosting Efficiency and Business Experience

The authority reported that the modernization of the service has led to an improvement in overall service efficiency of at least 25 percent. Officials emphasize that the primary goal of the new digital platform is to simplify procedures, enhance the customer experience, and save valuable time and effort for companies operating within the Kingdom.

"This move reflects Bahrain's continued commitment to modernizing government services and fostering a more agile business environment," said an LMRA spokesperson. "By leveraging digital tools, we are removing unnecessary hurdles and allowing the private sector to focus on growth and recruitment."

The initiative aligns with the Kingdom's broader strategy to digitize public services, aiming to create a more responsive and efficient regulatory framework that supports economic diversification and ease of doing business.
