Civil Defence teams successfully contained a fire at a facility in Muharraq following an attack by Iran early this morning on 26 March, with no casualties reported, the Interior Ministry announced.
The ministry confirmed that emergency responders extinguished the blaze without any injuries or fatalities among workers or first responders. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, prompting rapid deployment of Civil Defence units to the scene.
As a precautionary measure against the potential effects of smoke, the Interior Ministry alerted residents of Hidd, Arad, Galali and Samaheej in the governorate to remain indoors while firemen tackled the blaze. Authorities assured the public that the situation was brought under control and air quality monitoring was conducted throughout the affected areas.
Civil Defence officials stated that the fire was fully contained within several hours of the initial alert. Investigations into the extent of damage to the facility are ongoing, though preliminary assessments indicate structural integrity remains intact.
Local hospitals reported no admissions related to the incident, and emergency services have since returned to normal operations. Residents were advised to keep windows closed until further notice, with authorities promising regular updates on air quality conditions in the governorate.
