Meteor Garden star Jerry Yan recently visited the grave of his late co-star Barbie Hsu in New Taipei. The moment turned emotional as Yan, who played Dao Ming Si opposite Hsu’s Shan Cai, spent over 10 minutes at the site with close friends.
Who Was With Him
Yan wasn’t alone—he was joined by host-actress Janet Chia, Taipei 101 chairwoman, and her husband Wang Chao-chieh. Together, they paid their respects at Chin Pao San Cemetery.

Remembering Barbie Hsu
Barbie Hsu, who won hearts across Asia in Meteor Garden, passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 48 due to pneumonia. The loss was confirmed by her sister, Dee Hsu.
Yan’s Tribute
After her passing, Yan posted a heartfelt message on Weibo, recalling Hsu’s carefree nature and wishing her peace “in another world.” His visit to her grave was another deeply personal farewell.
