Max Verstappen walked away with his first drivers’ championship following his final day victory over Lewis Hamilton at the F1 Yas Marina Grand Prix Finale. The F1 2022 season starts soon in Bahrain with the longest season in the sport’s history with 23 races provisionally on the calendar.

Before the season gets underway, the teams head for testing in Barcelona between 23-25 February. They will then test again in Bahrain from 11-23 March.

A week later and the season begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 20 March. The final race will be the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 20 November. Canadian, Singaporean and Japanese Grands Prix will also make a return.

Australia returns to the schedule in November 2022 in the hope that Covid restrictions will have eased by then.

Miami will be one of two races in the United States.
