The newly-named street is a tribute to the King's efforts and directives to deliver relief aid to those affected by a devastating earthquake that struck Turkey, and is a testament to the close and fraternal relations between Bahrain and Turkey.

HH Shaikh Nasser also expressed his appreciation for the support the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) receives from the Bahraini government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and stressed that the RHF is honored to implement the King's directives.

Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, the RHF Secretary-General, stated that "King of Bahrain Avenue" is located in a strategic location in Al Bustan City, which was severely affected by the earthquake. The street was named after the King of Bahrain as a tribute to his great humanitarian stance towards the people of Turkey.
