Drone Approaches Gaza Freedom Flotilla's Madleen

Gaza Freedom Flotilla's Madleen set sail from Italy on Sunday, June 1, for Gaza to break the siege and deliver humanitarian aid to the enclave.

However, on Tuesday, May 3, when Madleen was 80 kilometers away from Greece, the volunteers on the vessel spotted a drone approaching it.

Later on, the volunteers on the vessel reported that the drone moved away and they could not see it or hear it, nonetheless, they are on high alert, according to the updates they have provided on their Telegram channel.

In an audio message on the channel, a volunteer reported that the volunteers saw an unidentified helicopter fly over the vessel when they first left Catania.

UN experts have urged that the Madleen be granted safe passage after the Israeli army announced that they are ready to intercept the vessel.

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and Irish actor Liam Cunningham are among the individuals on the vessel.
