Bahrain is celebrating a standout performance on the international martial arts stage after Ali Monfaradi clinched the gold medal at the 2026 European Jiu Jitsu Championship.
Competing in the highly competitive Black Belt, Middleweight, Master 1 division, Monfaradi delivered a flawless run, winning all five of his matches to secure top honours for the Kingdom.
The victory, a historic first gold medal for Monfaradi at this prestigious event, drew widespread attention. One of his standout bouts was even featured on the official International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) page, underscoring the significance of his achievement on the global stage.
Monfaradi’s success is especially meaningful for the Bahraini jiu-jitsu community. While many of his students from Elements Jiu-Jitsu Bahrain have previously medaled at major tournaments, their coach’s gold marks a new pinnacle of competitive excellence.
