The milestone flight took off from Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the early hours of June 2 as EK835, touching down in Bahrain International Airport (BAH) at 2:15am. The return leg, EK836, departed at 3:40am and landed back in Dubai at 6:05am, officially marking the transition of all three daily flights between the two cities to A350 service.
Why This Matters
This move is a big part of Emirates’ strategy to refresh its fleet and elevate passenger experience under its well-known "Fly Better" promise. Rolling out the A350 on this high-frequency route not only showcases the airline’s latest product but also highlights the strong travel demand between the UAE and Bahrain, a route popular with both business and leisure travellers.
It’s also a reflection of Emirates’ long-standing partnership with Bahrain. The country has been a key part of the airline’s Gulf network since 2000, and this exclusive A350 deployment signals an even deeper commitment to the Bahraini market.
What to Expect Onboard
The Emirates A350 is packed with upgrades across all three classes. Business Class features 32 lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 layout, giving direct aisle access to every passenger. Premium Economy offers 21 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, and Economy Class has 259 seats in a roomy 3-3-3 layout.
Passengers will enjoy a quieter, more comfortable cabin with higher ceilings, wider aisles, and ambient lighting designed to reduce jet lag. Plus, Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system has been upgraded for a more cinematic experience, along with faster wifi to keep you connected in the sky.
Part of a Bigger Plan
Bahrain joins other destinations already being served by Emirates’ A350s, including Amman, Kuwait, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Edinburgh, Colombo, and Tunis. By the end of 2025, Emirates plans to operate the A350 on 17 routes around the world.
Beyond comfort, the A350 is also a key part of Emirates’ sustainability efforts. These aircraft are more fuel-efficient and technologically advanced, helping the airline cut emissions while maintaining high service standards.
So if you’re flying between Dubai and Bahrain anytime soon, get ready to enjoy a smoother, quieter, and more modern journey, aboard one of the most advanced aircraft in the skies.
