The Bahraini education ministry has rejected claims of offering online education for students during the holy month of Ramadan, which is anticipated to last from roughly March 23 to April 20, depending on the moon sighting.

The ministry said that these reports were false, adding that there is no such decision.

Reports previously said that Bahraini parliament members recently voted to support an urgent motion by five MPs, led by Mohammed Al Rifaee, vice-chairman of the finance and economic affairs committee to offer students remote learning for 20 days during Ramadan excluding weekends.

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, remote schooling was first implemented in 2020 and later made available as a choice to students before a general return to the school campus in August 2022.

Students at both private and public institutions are currently required to attend school on the normal schedule as it was before the pandemic.
