Four people were injured in Bahrain after debris from intercepted drones struck a residential neighbourhood early Saturday, officials said.

The incident occurred in Sitra, where several homes sustained damage due to falling debris, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry posted on X.

Emergency crews were deployed to the site, while authorities issued safety alerts and activated warning sirens earlier in the day, urging residents to seek shelter.

The Interior Ministry condemned the attack, calling it “a blatant Iranian aggression,” as tensions continue to rise across the region.

According to official figures, Bahrain Defence Force intercepted and destroyed 16 drones targeting the country within the past 24 hours.

Data released by Bahrain News Agency showed that since the beginning of the attacks, a total of 188 missiles and 445 drones have been successfully intercepted.
