Anti-Cyber Crimes Warns of Fake Websites Selling Tickets For Concerts

According to the Anti-Cyber Crimes Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, there are many fake websites that are fabricating the selling of concerts’ tickets online to receive the bank details and money transfer from potential social media victims.

Bahrain citizens were warned not to respond to these websites and to double check before engaging in any bank transfer process. They were also urged to use the official verified channels for e-commerce and online purchases.

Personnel and bank details should not be revealed through phone calls or any other methods without checking the source first and if there are any scam cases, residents should instantly report through hotline 992.
