Bahrain Launches Emblem for the 'Year of Isa Al Kabeer'

Bahrain has unveiled the official emblem for the Year of Isa Al Kabeer, a national initiative commemorating one of the country’s most influential historical figures, following a royal order by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The designation of 2026 as the Year of Isa Al Kabeer honours the founder of Bahrain’s modern state, who ruled from 1869 to 1932 and played a pivotal role in strengthening national stability, establishing legal and civil institutions, and laying the groundwork for the nation’s development and prosperity.

The newly launched emblem features a prominent image of Isa Al Kabeer, symbolizing his enduring impact on Bahrain’s governance, national identity, and long-term development. Officials said the design reflects both pride in the country’s history and a forward-looking celebration of its core values.

Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of the National Communication Centre, underscored that the launch honors the royal directive and serves as a tribute to Bahrain’s heritage as the Kingdom embarks on this commemorative year.

By dedicating 2026 to Isa Al Kabeer, the government aims to highlight the principles he championed, including institutional development, stability, and progress, which continue to steer Bahrain’s advancement under the leadership of HM King Hamad and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The launch of the emblem marks an important milestone in Bahrain’s decade-long efforts to celebrate its foundational figures and inspire future generations through recognition of the nation’s historical roots.
