Hania Amir to Star in Sardaar Ji 3 Alongside Diljit Dosanjh

The trailer for Diljit Dosanjh's highly-anticipated film, 'Sardaar Ji 3', was released on Sunday, June 22. In addition to the excitement of seeing the Punjabi superstar on the silver screen again, fans were happy to see Pakistani star Hania Aamir make her Punjabi film debut. 

Alongside Dosanjh and Aamir, the film features Neeru Bajwa. The trailer received positive feedback; however, many fans want the film to be banned in India because it features Aamir and other Pakistani celebrities, including Nasir Chinyoti, Daniel Khawar, and Saleem Albela.

The hate comes after the tensions between Pakistan and India escalated in early May as a result of the Pahalgham attack in Kashmir at the end of April. 

The trailer for the film is not available on YouTube India, and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) is pushing the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) not to give the film a release certificate because they stated that the film goes against national interest and should not be released in Indian cinemas. 

However, when the trailer was first released, the production team revealed that 'Sardaar Ji 3' will not be released in India, instead it will be released overseas, including in Pakistan. 

It is directed by by Amar Hundal and is a horror comedy featuring Dosanjh and Aamir as ghosthunters, trying to rid a haunted mansion of an evil spirit. 

'Sardaar Ji 3' is set to release in cinemas on June 27.
