In its latest attack, Israel struck the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) building during live coverage, when the presenter was criticizing Israel.
Footage of live coverage has gone viral on social media, which shows the presenter rushing out of the news station when the news station was struck.
Shortly after the attack, the live coverage resumed, according to an official. The attack occurred after the Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, promised that Iran's television and radio were "about to disappear".
After the Israeli defence minister, an eviction order was issued for the district in Tehran, where the broadcaster is located.
The attack on the new station follows Israel's series of attacks, which began on Friday, June 13 and is called Operation Rising Lion. Israel aims to harm Iran's nuclear activities and stop it from developing an atomic bomb.
However, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country has "no intention of obtaining these weapons at all", but had the "right to benefit from nuclear energy".
On Monday, June 16, the Israeli army announced the killings of more Iranian targets, including IRGC intelligence chief Mohammed Kazemi and a deputy.
Israel's recent attacks have also killed Iran's scientists and other renowned figures, whom they allege are linked to the development of nuclear weapons.
