The case was referred to prosecutors following a report from the Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security at the Ministry of Interior.
During questioning, the teenager admitted she had shared the content in an attempt to gain fame and grow her follower base. Prosecutors have ordered that she remain in custody pending further inquiries, while technical specialists extract data from her mobile phone.
The investigation is ongoing. In its statement, the Public Prosecution urged parents to closely monitor their children’s online activity, warning that breaches of online publishing laws will be met with legal action—particularly when they target vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities, who are afforded higher legal protection.
