One of Bollywood's most anticipated films 'Fighter' was recently banned in all GCC countries, except the UAE, but the film's distributor has announced that the film's release has been suspended in the UAE as well.

The distributor Home Screen Entertainment announced on their Instagram page that the release of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's new film 'Fight' has been suspended in the country. 

The film was scheduled to release on Thursday, Jan. 25, a day before India's Republic Day however, advanced booking options for the film were removed from all cinema websites on Wednesday night, Jan. 24.

Other than Roshan and Padukone, 'Fighter' features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. 

'Fighter' is directed by Siddharth Anand, who also directed the Bollywood blockbuster 'Pathaan'.
