Bahrain Drops $17B Deal with Trump to Boost US Ties

Bahrain just dropped some major news in Washington. During a visit to the White House, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met with former US President Donald Trump and revealed a jaw-dropping $17 billion investment plan in the US.

The two leaders met to celebrate the long-standing partnership between their countries—130+ years strong—and to take it up a notch.

What’s in the $17B Package?

This isn’t just about money. The investment package aims to power up cooperation between Bahrain and the US across some big-deal sectors:

  • Security

  • Trade

  • Technology

Basically, Bahrain’s doubling down on its US connection—with cash and commitment.

Big Moves on Global Security

Prince Salman also highlighted something called the C-SIPA (Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement). It’s a fancy name for a new regional security alliance that now includes the UK too.

It’s all about peace, stability, and teaming up on commercial innovation across the Middle East. The Crown Prince says he’s all in—and hopes more countries will hop on board.

Trade Wins and a Shoutout to Trump

The Crown Prince gave a thumbs up to the US-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement and the US Trade Zone in Bahrain, calling them game-changers for the economy.

He also gave a nod to Trump’s efforts on calming regional tensions and pushing for peace, while reaffirming Bahrain’s stance on peaceful nuclear energy and clean transitions.

Trump, on the other hand, had nothing but praise for Bahrain—calling King Hamad a “respected global leader” and describing their relationship as “tremendous.”

A Lunch, A Toast, A New Chapter

The meeting wrapped up with a formal lunch hosted by Trump, capping off a visit that clearly means big things are brewing between the two nations.
