BTS' RM and V Complete Military Service, Tease Comeback

They're back — and the BTS reunion we've all been waiting for is getting real.

K-pop legends RM and V officially wrapped up their mandatory military service on Tuesday, marking another step closer to a full BTS comeback. Dressed in uniform and met with cheers from fans near their base, the duo thanked their global fanbase — known as ARMY — and promised the wait is almost over.

“To all the ARMYs who have waited for us in the military, I want to say I am truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer and we will return with a really cool performance,” V said, sending fan hearts into overdrive.

RM added his own excitement to the mix, saying, “Stage performance, I want to perform the most. I’ll work hard to make an album soon and come back to the stage,” after serenading fans with a sax performance and holding a flower bouquet.

Countdown to OT7 Begins

The discharge of RM and V means four BTS members are now officially out of the army — with Jin and J-Hope already reuniting with fans through solo appearances.

Jimin, Jung Kook, and SUGA are expected to finish their service by June 21, according to Korean media, paving the way for the long-awaited OT7 (all seven members) reunion.

“I love that for us,” J-Hope told a magazine last December, reflecting on the group’s solo ventures and upcoming comeback.

BTS FESTA and Market Buzz

The timing couldn’t be more perfect: HYBE, BTS’ management agency, is throwing its massive annual BTS FESTA this week to mark the group’s 12th anniversary. While it’s unclear if all members will appear, last year’s event saw Jin joining the celebrations — and fans are hopeful.

The excitement also sent HYBE’s stock soaring, with shares jumping 2.3% on Tuesday and hitting their highest in over three years.

Global ARMYs Are Here for It

Fans from around the world made the trip to South Korea to welcome their idols back.

“It is just absolutely joyful,” said 72-year-old Philip Darbyshire, who flew in from Australia. “That is now four out, two again tomorrow and then SUGA. Then we have OT7, we have seven kings back with us. It is just wonderful.”

With millions of fans holding their breath and the members fired up to hit the stage again, one thing’s clear: BTS is on the road to a massive 2025 — and ARMYs are already chanting.
