Egyptian Goalkeeping Essam El Hadary to Coach Syrian Team in Bahrain

According to recent reports, Essam El Hadary, the legendary Egyptian goalkeeper who holds the record for being the oldest player to participate in the FIFA World Cup Finals, will arrive in Bahrain tomorrow as part of the Syrian coaching staff.

El Hadary gained recognition during the 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia when he saved a penalty in Egypt's match against Saudi Arabia, becoming the oldest player to achieve this at the age of 45 years and 161 days.

He retired from the sport after earning 159 caps with Egypt, and later joined the Syrian national team earlier this year under the coaching of Héctor Cúper, who previously led Egypt to the 2018 World Cup Finals.

The Syrian team will be playing a friendly match against Bahrain at the Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Arad.
