Bahrain is ready to compete in the Gulf Men's Handball Championship.

Bahrain Set to Compete in Gulf Club's Handball

The 39th Gulf Clubs Men's Handball Championship will begin today in Bahrain, with eight teams competing from the Gulf region, including Al Najma and Al Ahli from the Kingdom. 

The Championship will run until March 17th and it will take place at Bahrain Handball Association Arena in Umm Al Hassam. 

Najma and Ahli will be competing with teams from the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar in the championship. 

Najma has been drawn into Group A alongside Al Arabi for Qatar, Al Salmiya of Kuwait, and Al Ahli Sidab of Oman. 

Ahli will be part of Group B alongside Kuwait SC of Kuwait, Sharjah of UAE, and Al Safa of Saudi Arabia. 

Arabi will compete against  Ahli Sadab at 5 p.m. on March 8th, while Najma will compete against Salmiya at 7 p.m. on the same day. 

Najma has signed top Bahraini players Mohammed Habib, Qassim Qambar, and Qassim Al Shuwaikh, alongside Egypt national team standouts Hassan Kaddah and Ahmed Alahmer. 

Ahli has taken on the Egyptian national team goalkeeper Karim Handawy, along with Anwar bin Abdullah and Mahdi Al Qallaf. 

Najma has won the championship for Bahrain six times and the last time was in 2022, against Saudi's Mudhar with a score of 39-24.
