His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Praises Ashura Preparations

The efforts made by the relevant authorities to ensure the success of the Ashura Commemoration were appreciated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

These efforts were made by the distinct qualities of Bahraini society, built on an authentic, inclusive identity, coexistence, compassion, and cohesion.

HM, the King was welcomed yesterday at the Safriya Palace by several officials as well as His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM's Personal Representative, and Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Royal Court Minister.

His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the work done by the Interior Ministry and the statements made by the leaders of Maatams (community centers) that show national responsibility and awareness to ensure the success of the historic event.

To ensure the smooth execution of Ashura ceremonies, he highlighted the organizational efforts and all the security and community services offered.

HM King Hamad stressed the importance of adopting correct and trustworthy sources to understand Bahrain's history and people. He pointed out that some previously released untrustworthy books cannot be utilized as historical references since they include misleading material that cannot be trusted.
