Bahrain King Ordered Dispatch of Relief to Türkiye and Syria

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, ordered on Monday, February 6th, a dispatch of humanitarian aid to Turkey and Syria after an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 hit these countries earlier on Monday, killing more than 4,300 people and injuring many others.

King Hamad had sent cables of condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Syrian President Bashar Al Assad and reinforced Bahrain's relentless support to both countries.

His Majesty directed the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) to send aid to people affected by the earthquake, which is chaired by his Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

RHF Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed has declared that the RHF will collaborate with all ministries to dispatch urgent aid to the countries affected by the disaster.

"The foundation, led by HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will work to alleviate families' suffering... in the aftermath of this painful calamity," Dr. Al Sayyed stated.

Sheikh Nasser thanked HM King Hamad, RHF Honorary Chairman, for organizing royal initiatives to provide support to people of disaster-stricken countries, which aligns with Bahrain's aim of fostering international solidarity.
