Bahrain To Send Aid to Morocco After Earthquake

Bahrain's Royal Humanitarian Foundation will send the first shipment of relief aid to Morocco this week, in response to His Majesty King Hamad's order to help those affected by the earthquake.

RHF Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed thanked the government of Bahrain, headed by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for their support of the relief effort.

He said that the first shipment of humanitarian aid would be dispatched this week and that the RHF is coordinating with Moroccan authorities and the Bahraini Foreign Ministry to ensure that the aid reaches the victims of the earthquake.

He praised the initiative of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to provide logistic assistance to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) in its relief efforts for the earthquake victims in Morocco.

“The foundation, led by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will spare no efforts to support quake-affected people and help alleviate their suffering,” he said, adding that the relief aid would be dispatched according to Moroccans’ needs.
