These Highways Will Close on May 15 and 16 for Arab Summit

Bahrain’s General Traffic Department has announced traffic measures to ensure smooth transportation during the Arab Summit on May 15 and 16. Temporary diversions will be in place on key roads to manage summit-related activities.

Key Roads Affected

The Ministry of Interior has identified the main routes that will be controlled during peak hours on Wednesday and Thursday.

These include the stretch from Bahrain International Airport to Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway, passing through Al-Ghous Street, Sheikh Isa bin Salman Bridge, King Faisal Highway, and Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway into the Seef District.

Alternative Routes for May 15 and 16

To help residents navigate the city during the summit, alternative routes have been recommended. These include Al Fateh Highway, Government Avenue, Khalifa bin Salman Bridge, and Sheikh Hamad Bridge.

Public Cooperation Requested

The General Directorate of Traffic is urging residents to cooperate by following the provided guidelines. They recommend minimizing non-essential travel during the summit and staying updated through official announcements to facilitate smooth traffic management.
