Turkey: Top Destination for Bahrainis During Eid Al-Fitr

Travel authorities report that Turkey is the most popular vacation spot for Bahrainis during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, followed by the Maldives, London, Japan, and South Korea.

The demand for travel has surged since the start of Ramadan, with certain individuals deciding to embark on a trip to Mecca and Medina for Umrah. The increase in airfare costs is due to the worldwide crisis and the rise in fuel costs.

The high demand for travel offices can be attributed to the availability of travel packages and offers. Egypt, Thailand, and Dubai are other popular travel destinations. Travel officials anticipate that over 100,000 Bahrainis will be departing for summer vacations abroad.

Bahrainis will be seeking cooler environments or cost-effective holiday opportunities, while expats will be making their yearly visits to relatives and acquaintances in their home countries. Istanbul, Bursa, Yalova, Trabzon, and Antalya are all preferred vacation spots for Middle Eastern tourists.

As per travel authorities, the majority of visitors arrive during the summer months from June to August and the winter months from December to February.
