Bahrain’s parliamentary committee has rejected a proposal to ban delivery bikes from main roads. Officials say the plan would have made traffic worse, not better, and would be very difficult to enforce.
Traffic Concerns and Practicality
The Ministry of Interior warned that restricting delivery bikes to smaller streets could increase congestion in residential areas. There’s also a risk that riders might switch to cars, adding more vehicles to the roads and slowing traffic even further.
