Arad's Heritage Village Hosts Vibrant Gergaoon Festival

Arad's Heritage Village has come alive with the vibrant colors and rhythms of the Gergaoon Festival, running until March 28th, 2024, between 8 pm and 11 pm.

This eagerly anticipated event promises an immersive cultural experience, offering visitors a glimpse into Bahrain's rich heritage and traditions.

Attendees can look forward to a diverse array of activities and entertainment, including traditional music performances, captivating folk dances, and engaging craft demonstrations. Admission to the festival is priced at 1 BHD, with complimentary entry for children under two years old. 

Gergaoon is a fun-packed tradition that is widely celebrated by children across Bahrain and the Gulf region around the middle of the holy month of Ramadan. 

Gergaoon celebrations are usually held in different locations in Bahrain, where children wear a traditional brightly colored costume, and carry a bag which is then filled with candies from neighbors, families, and friends.
