BIA Increases Number of Staff for Summer and Hajj Travelers

The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operating and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), hosted a high-level meeting with high officials and airport stakeholders to supervise preparations required to receive pilgrims and passengers traveling through BIA for Hajj and summer holidays.

The meeting held discussions around the anticipated passenger numbers and peak durations as well as resource allocation requirements to guarantee the BIA’s readiness.

"Summer is one of the busiest periods for BIA, with a huge number of passengers traveling to and from Bahrain. Working closely with our stakeholders, we have finalized all preparations to welcome them and ensure they enjoy a safe, seamless, and hassle-free travel experience," BAC Chief Airport Operation, Ali Rashid said.

"In 2022, BIA welcomed 6.9 million passengers, a 127.5 percent jump from 3 million in 2021, This data points to an even stronger recovery in 2023 and, with passenger traffic on the rise this summer, we are fully prepared to meet the needs of BIA’s guests."
