Japan Anime Fest 2025 Brings a Week of Animation Magic to Bahrain

Anime lovers in Bahrain are in for a treat this November as Japan Anime Fest 2025 arrives for a week-long celebration of Japanese animation and culture.

Organized by the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation, Bahrain Polytechnic, and Epix Cinemas, the festival will run from November 27 to December 4, 2025, offering audiences a free cinematic journey through Japan’s most beloved animated films.

The festival’s goal is to highlight the creativity, imagination, and emotional depth that have made Japan’s anime industry a global cultural phenomenon.

Screenings will be split between two venues:

🎬 Epix Cinemas (Dana Mall): November 27 – December 1

Daily showtimes: 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM

Featured films include Children of the Sea (PG 15), Time of EVE (PG 18+), Okko’s Inn (PG), Penguin Highway (PG 15), and Ride Your Wave (PG 15+).

🎞 Bahrain Polytechnic: December 2 – 4

Daily showtimes: 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM

Screenings include Machida-kun: Almost a Miracle (PG 15+), The House of the Lost on the Cape (13), and Lu Over the Wall (PG 13).

All screenings are free and open to the public, welcoming anime fans, students, and families alike.

The Embassy of Japan stated that the event “reflects the ongoing commitment to fostering cultural exchange, creative learning, and mutual understanding between Japan and Bahrain.”

Through Japan Anime Fest 2025, organizers hope to inspire audiences with the artistic power of Japanese storytelling while strengthening cultural ties between both nations.
