NPRA Announced New Requirements for E-Passport Photo

On Tuesday, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) released new guidelines for the photo of the e-passport.

The picture should have uniform lighting, pure white background, 3:4 aspect ratio, and an image size of 32.5mm x 43mm with uniform lighting, no shadows or reflections, and a pure white background. The photo should not be altered in any way. Further details are available on the NPRA website.

The NPRA has begun accepting e-passport applications starting March 20 through their website, government e-portal, or by visiting their service centers in Muharraq and Isa Town with an appointment made through the MAWAEID app.
