Bahraini Police Arrests 20 Asians for Running a Gambling Ring

The Bahraini Police have arrested 20 Asian individuals, aged 29 to 56, for operating an illegal gambling room at a private residence. 

The police arrested the culprits after receiving a tip-off.

The local law enforcement started a nationwide search to arrest the individuals. 

The officials seized undisclosed sums of money and intoxicating beverages from the location. 

The General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence has referred the case to the Public Prosecution for further proceedings. 

In July, a Bahraini man was imprisoned for five years and a fine of BD 3,000 for smuggling drugs. 

In the same month, an Asian woman was arrested at the Bahrain International Airport for having five kilograms of the narcotic substance Shabu.
