Bahrain Shines at 4th GCC Games, Secures 55 Medals

Bahrain's team continues to impress at the 4th Gulf Cooperation Council Games in Doha, which will run until May 22. So far, the team has earned 55 medals, including 23 gold, 20 silver, and 12 bronze.

In handball, Bahrain showed outstanding performance with a 36–25 win over Saudi Arabia. Their strong defense and quick attacks helped set up a gold medal match against Qatar.

In padel, Bahrain celebrated their first victories. The women’s team secured a close 2–1 win against Qatar, while the men’s team dominated Saudi Arabia with a perfect 3–0 score.

In trap shooting, Bahraini athletes delivered steady performances. The highest rank was seventh in the women’s category during the qualification rounds.

Bahraini archers began their campaign strong, staying competitive in a challenging field.

In snooker, Bahrain faced a 3–1 defeat against Oman in the 15-ball event but aims to bounce back in their next match against the UAE.

Tuesday will be action-packed for Bahrain, with participation across key events like the archery team semi-finals, shooting finals (10m pistol and trap), snooker, padel matches against the UAE (women) and Qatar (men), the handball gold medal match against Qatar, and the volleyball clash with Qatar.
