Bahrain to Host 39th GCC Handball Clubs Cup in March

Bahrain is set to host the 39th edition of the GCC Handball Clubs Cup Championship from March 8th to 17th, at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town. 

The tournament will feature eight teams in all, including two teams from Bahrain and two teams from Kuwait. 

The teams are Gulf champions Al Najma and fellow Bahrain handball giants Al Ahli, Al Salmiya of Kuwait, Al Kuwait SC, Al Arabi of Qatar, Al Ahli Sidab of Oman, Sharjah of UAE, and Al Safa of Saudi Arabia. 

Al Najma won the 38th GCC Handball Clubs Cup last year for the sixth time, following a 39-24 victory over Saudi Mudhar handball team. It was also Al Najma's first GCC Handball Clubs Cup in 21 years.
