Viral Videos Show Injured Donkey

Animal rights activists accused the influencer of exploiting the injured donkey for social media content. In several viral clips, Tahin appears to be struggling with what looks like a broken leg, yet the filming continued.

BSPCA Files Official Complaint

The Bahrain Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) filed a formal complaint with authorities this week. According to Mahmood Faraj, head of the BSPCA, Tahin was seen limping in multiple posts over the past month, with no clear signs of medical treatment.

“This animal has been repeatedly used for stunts and filming while clearly suffering,” Faraj told Al Bilad newspaper. “There was no regard for its pain or well-being.”

Owner Responds to Allegations

Under Bahraini law, cruelty to domesticated animals can lead to up to three months in jail or a fine of 20 dinars (around $53).

The influencer reportedly visited a police station in Muharraq to deny the allegations, claiming that Tahin had been treated by a vet and that they’ve been together for five years.

Calls for Stricter Action

Still, the BSPCA says it will keep pushing for proper care for Tahin and called on authorities to take firmer action against those exploiting animals for views and followers.
