All About Almonds: Bahrain to Open its First Almond Festival on July 8

Bahrain will launch its first-ever Almond Festival on Jul. 8 at the Farmers' Market Site in the Budaiya Botanical Garden.

The festival will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. until Jul. 15 with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture planning to make the event an annual affair. 

The festival will run for two weeks and will feature 15 farmers and three families that work in almond production.

The event will also showcase four varieties of almonds. 

In addition to all these highlights, the almond festival will also host four restaurants that will serve visitors with almond-based products including sweets and beverages.

The ministry will also distribute 1,000 almond seedlings during the festival so that visitors can grow these plants at home.
