Bahrain Relaxes COVID-19 Rules

‏Bahrain's National Medical Taskforce for combatting COVID-19 has relaxed measures put in place to combat the virus following a review of the current health situation in the country.

A positive rapid test will be considered the diagnostic tool of choice for confirming infections at local health centers, ‏the chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and the head of the National Medical Taskforce, Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, said.

He added that PCRs can be performed when indicated as per medical evaluation.

Moreover, the mandatory self-isolation regulations will no longer be in effect.

These new regulations come into effect starting today, March 19th.
