On Sunday, June 23, the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) introduced remote working for government entities, allowing up to 70% of employees to work from home. But that’s now changing. Starting June 24, normal working hours for government departments have resumed, with employees expected to return to offices as usual.

Traffic restrictions have also been lifted. The Ministry of Interior had earlier urged residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary and stick to main routes. This was part of a safety-first approach after the regional situation escalated. Now, traffic movement across the island is back to normal. The ministry thanked everyone for their cooperation and patience during the temporary measures.

Bahrain also shifted all public and private educational institutions, from kindergartens to universities, to remote learning from June 22. This move was a response to the US airstrikes and aimed at keeping students and staff safe. Classes moved online, with schools and universities instructed to continue teaching through digital platforms until further notice.

These swift precautions reflect Bahrain’s close proximity to Iran, just 200 kilometers of sea separate the two countries. While the situation prompted concern, the coordinated response by Bahraini authorities helped maintain calm and ensure public safety.

Now, with tensions easing, Bahrain is steadily returning to its regular routine.
