Bahraini Photographer Wins Gold Medal at an Int'l Competition

Bahraini photographer Syed Baqer Al-Kamel won a PSA Gold Medal at the fifth International Exhibition of Photography in Bulgaria. 

Two of his photographs were submitted to the competition. 

Al-Kamel's monochrome photograph of a young girl titled 'Hidden Story' received a PSA Gold Medal at the exhibition. 

The muse of this photograph gazes directly at the camera. She stands between two individuals, implying she is part of a crowd, yet the photographer makes her stand out.

The second photograph was a colored one of another young girl, which received an honorable mention.

Al Kamel has a bachelor's degree in media and has won more than 200 awards for his work. 

Winning a gold medal at an international competition has made Al Kamel a source of pride for Bahrain!
