Bahrain National Museum

On 15 December 1988, Bahrain National Museum was inaugurated by the late Amir H.H. Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, and back then it was one of the finest museums of its kind in the Gulf region. Visitors can explore the story of Bahrain in its halls which include:

The museum complex includes two connected buildings, the administrative offices building, and the main one that houses the permanent exhibition area, temporary exhibition halls, an art gallery, a lecture hall, a gift shop, and a café.

Qal'at Al-Bahrain Site Museum

When visiting the Qala’at Al-Bahrain (Bahrain Fort), you will have the opportunity to discover five different historical periods arranged chronologically and distributed into five halls in its museum. In addition, Qal'at Al-Bahrain Site contains a café overlooks the coastline opposite the fort, a lecture hall, and a gift shop.

Art Centre

Art Centre

The Art Center was established in May 1992, and it houses many prestigious exhibitions of leading and well-known international and local artists. In addition, it hosts special art events, such as workshops, talks by figures in the industry, art exhibitions, and photography exhibitions. If you were lucky during your trip to Bahrain, your visit could coincide with an exhibition or art event. Otherwise, you can visit the art center and have a look at its beautiful architecture.

Al- Khalefeyah Library was one of the first public libraries to be built in Bahrain, and it got reconstructed to provide readers and visitors with a better experience. In addition, visitors can enjoy many cultural programs and activities organized by Alkhalifiyah Library.

If you are seeking to explore the history of Al Bahrain, then visiting AlJasra Crafts, which opened in 1991 in AlJasra village, is a must! Al-Jasra Crafts will allow you to collect information about the local handicrafts, highlight the aesthetic elements of the products, and look at how the craftsmen work in their environment.
