Bahrain Police arrested an Asian woman who had five kilograms of the narcotic substance Shabu at the Bahrain International Airport.

The suspect has been held in custody for further investigation. The arrest took place after an alert from the Anti-Narcotics Department of the General Directorate of Investigations and Criminal Investigations was issued.

Prosecutors opened an immediate investigation and took the suspect for questioning. During the interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was guilty of carrying such drugs with her.
The seized drugs are undergoing tests by the Drug Control Department. Legal actions will be taken to bring the suspect to trial on drug smuggling charges.
