Bahrain Ranks No. 1 in Arab World for Women’s Leadership Opportunities

Bahrain just scored a major win for gender equality. The Kingdom has ranked first in the Arab world and across the GCC for women’s leadership opportunities, according to the Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) 2025 by INSEAD.

The ranking looks at how well workplaces support women and how fairly leadership roles are opened up to them — and Bahrain came out on top.

Why Bahrain Ranked No. 1

The report highlights Bahrain’s strong track record in empowering women and making leadership roles more accessible across sectors. It points to fair workplace practices and clear pathways that help women move into decision-making positions.

Turning Talent Into Results

Beyond gender inclusion, the GTCI 2025 also praised Bahrain for its ability to turn talent investment into real outcomes. That puts the country in the same league as some of the world’s leading economies when it comes to developing and retaining talent.

A Growing Regional Role Model

This latest ranking adds to Bahrain’s reputation as a regional leader in women’s empowerment, showing steady progress and a long-term push toward equal opportunities and future-ready leadership.
