On Sunday, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) issued a statement saying the mass displacement order has seriously harmed the already fragile aid operations in Gaza.

"Today’s mass displacement order issued by the Israeli military has dealt yet another devastating blow to the already fragile lifelines keeping people alive across the Gaza Strip," OCHA said.

The order comes amid ongoing conflict that has already displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and severely restricted access to food, water, and medical care. Deir el-Balah, located in the central part of Gaza, has served as a shelter for many families fleeing violence in the north.

Humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned that continued military operations and evacuation orders make it nearly impossible to deliver much-needed aid safely and effectively. The UN has urged all parties to respect international humanitarian law and to protect civilians, especially as conditions in Gaza worsen by the day.

According to OCHA, these forced movements are pushing families into overcrowded and unsafe areas, where humanitarian aid struggles to reach them. The agency stressed that the humanitarian response is already overstretched and that more displacement only deepens the crisis.

As the conflict continues, the UN and its partners have called for immediate steps to ensure safe, sustained access for humanitarian workers and to halt actions that endanger civilian lives.
