The head of United States Central Command (CENTCOM) says Iran launched attack drones toward residential areas in Bahrain on Thursday evening.
According to CENTCOM chief Brad Cooper, Iranian forces fired seven drones targeting neighbourhoods where civilians live.

The claim was shared in a statement posted on social media.
CENTCOM accuses Iran of targeting civilians
Cooper said the drones were directed at residential areas, accusing Iran of deliberately putting civilians at risk across the region.
“This is unacceptable and will not go unanswered,” he said in the statement.
Regional tensions remain high
The incident adds to growing tensions across the Middle East as security concerns rise around key areas in the Gulf.
Officials did not immediately release further details about damage, casualties, or whether the drones were intercepted.
