Bahrain's Civil Defence Force successfully brought a massive fire at a paper factory in the Maqaba area under control on Friday, March 17th.

The fire tore through piles of papers stacked in the yard of the factory where paper bundles were stacked and ready for recycling. No injuries were reported.

The incident only resulted in partial damage to the materials stored in the yard.

The General Directorate of Civil Defence confirmed that it took 17 fire tenders and 52 officers several hours to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire -- which reportedly broke out at dawn -- remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway.

Civil Defence Force's focus was on preventing the fire from spreading to other areas of the factory.
