A Govt. Employee Sued for Embezzling BD 54,000 from his Workplace

An employee at the Gulf Aviation Academy embezzled a total of BD 54,000 from trainees' funds for which the employee was sued by the academy. 

The employee also manipulated data on the academy's electronic system to cover up his crime. 

The case first came to light when the Gulf Aviation Academy filed a complaint with the Bahrain Public Prosecution about said employee.

Any further details about the employee are not provided. 

Bahrain's Public Prosecution investigated the case and after the conclusion of their investigation, they referred the case to the Criminal Court. 

The reasons for the embezzlement of these funds are unknown and have not been revealed by the relevant authorities. 

At the Criminal Court, the employee will face legal proceedings for the charges of financial misconduct, breach of trust, and abuse of authority. 

This case emphasizes the importance for public institutions to secure their finances from embezzlement and their data from misuse.
