"Hayya" Card Is No Longer Required for GCC Residents to Enter Qatar

The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries will be allowed to enter Qatar, without the need to obtain a "Haya" card for non-match ticket holders, through the country's various ports, in accordance with the usual entry procedures.

In a statement today, Tuesday, the Ministry clarified the mechanisms of entry through the various ports and indicated that citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries coming to the State of Qatar by air will be able to enter without requiring registration through the “Haya” platform, starting today.

As for those arriving through the land port using buses, the statement indicated that transportation by buses will be available to all travelers through the port as is normal, and parking spaces will be allocated for visitors without fees.

No Fees

The Ministry indicated that citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries coming through the land ports by their private vehicles can enter the country starting from the eighth of December, and they must apply for the permit through the Ministry of Interior website at least 12 hours before the date of travel. , without requiring the payment of a vehicle entry permit fee.

The Ministry affirmed that this step comes in the context of the state's efforts to provide an opportunity for visitors, citizens, and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, to enjoy the atmosphere accompanying the matches of the Qatar World Cup 2022, and the entertainment activities in it during the remaining period of the tournament, and to facilitate the entry mechanism through all ports, to join the hundreds of thousands of visitors. The Qatari Ministry of Interior warned fans wishing to attend the matches to register via the “Haya” electronic platform.
